Distribution Center - Distribution Lead

(Must have Managerial/ Supervisory background)

The hourly range for this position is $23.75 hourly,. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

Summary: Assists in all project areas of the Distribution Center, related to shipping/receiving, buybacks, stack outs, customer returns, cycle counting, warehouse management, store set up, process control, creation of and maintenance of standard operating procedures, job hazard analysis, 5S, KSMS, KQMS, ISO, and any other duties as assignment by Team Leader – Receiving.

Specific Responsibilities:

Lead projects related to buybacks, stack outs, customer returns, roll outs, and other projects related tasks.

Learn shipping, receiving, productions put away, load planning, order placement, dock loading and unloading, SAP and RFID transactions.

Create standard operating procedures, job hazard analysis, ISO documentation, and training associated to them, also follow up and revisions as needed.

Must be able to count parts easily and quickly in both IM and WM using WM SAP driven cycle counting procedures for all project components both inventory and MRO.

Ensure accuracy of repacked product in both warehouse damaged, returns, buybacks and other areas as needed.

Set time standards and efficiency tracking in the returns area and other areas as needed and roll these out and train associates, follow up with efficiency reporting to management.

Work with customer service, sales and marketing, and supply chain to ensure proper control of inventory by repack through audit and placement in to warehouse.

Issue required work orders to maintenance department.

Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the warehouse and participate in 5S and workplace organization prioritizing improvement opportunities, and scheduling the required KOS/Six Sigma activities when approved by supervisor.

Submitting cost reductions and savings to the KOS department.

Identifying gaps in performance metrics.

Competency Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Candidates must have experience operating warehouse equipment such as but no limited to fork lifts, reach trucks, scales, etc. Candidates must also have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft applications along with knowledge of SAP and RFID systems. Candidate must have demonstrated leadership skills

*Requirements to Apply:

Must have been in current position for at least 3 months.

No written warnings on performance, attendance or conduct within a 3 month period.

No final written warnings on performance, attendance, or conduct within 6 month period

Skills/Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

  • Ability to obtain a fork truck license and be able to safely move material.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee is occasionally required to walk.

  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and

  • occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
