BASIC FUNCTION

This position is responsible for leading the Kitchen and Bath International & New Ventures Supply Chain organization to world class levels of Supply Chain performance.

In this role, the leader will combine end-to-end supply chain experience and business acumen, to bring together manufacturing, integrated business planning, sales & operations planning and logistics to achieve world class delivery, planning, and inventory management.

This individual will act as champion and spokesperson for achieving Supply Chain customer and financial performance within thecore Kitchen and Bath International & New Ventures Group. This includes the business groups for K&B China, K&B South Asia & Asia Pacific, K&B Northeast Asia, K&B EMEA, K&B Latin America, Luxury Brands, and Kohler ventures.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, coordinate, and implement a clear and effective supply chain vision and plan for meeting the demands of the customer. Working cross-functionally with other members of the senior team, the VP’s accountability will encompass demand planning and forecasting, supply planning for Kitchen and Bath International, the Kohler Brands, New Ventures regional products and collaboration with global product supply chain planning, order fulfillment, customer service, logistics, distribution, inventory control, e-commerce and delivery performance.

Consolidate and align supply chain vision and standards with the operation teams of Fixtures, Faucets & Metal, Vitreous, Whole House Customization, Kitchen Sink, Electronical Appliance & Accessory, direct the function, build a strong team aligned with the strategy to supervise the major functions inherent within scope of responsibility. Provide effective leadership to achieve customer delivery, cost, performance and improved productivity and quality objectives set for the business.

Strategically design and direct all functions of Distribution Center and Warehouse operations within the Kitchen and Bath International, the Kohler Brands, New Ventures distribution network. Responsible and accountable for all Transportation related costs for both Interplant freight movement and Customer Delivery freight movements within the Kitchen & Bath International (China, South Asia & Asia Pacific, Northeast Asia, EMEA, Latin America), as well as Luxury Brands and Kohler ventures distribution network.

Oversee the Customer Service strategy and execution for Fixtures, Faucets & Metal, Vitreous, Whole House Customization, Kitchen Sink, Electronical Appliance & Accessory within K&B China, K&B South Asia & Asia Pacific, K&B Northeast Asia, K&B EMEA, K&B Latin America.

Leadership for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, Product Availability, Finished Goods Inventory Management, Demand Management, Forecasting, Deployment, Supply Planning for the regional products of Kitchen and Bath International, the Kohler Brands, New Ventures, and collaboration with Global Product SC Supply Planning for global products within Fixtures, Faucets & Metal, Vitreous, Whole House Customization, Kitchen Sink, Electronical Appliance & Accessory.

Accountable for assessing performance of all objectives. Design systems to measure supplier qualification and performance, customer service metrics, and to measure inventory and delivery metrics against financial plan and best in class standards.

Develop and maintain a strong talent organization by selecting, appointing, and developing people who embody the skills and drive that contribute to business success. Cultivate the careers of the team and the associates in the entire organization and ensure that developing a culture that supports continued development throughout the organization to ensure solid management succession. Delegate to each subordinate the responsibility and authority for performance of the assigned function, evaluate their effectiveness, and counsel and guide them toward improved performance and accountabilities for total talent management.

Drive associate engagement throughout the teams to improve individual leadership and business performance.

Direct all functions within budgets and drive cost improvement year-over-year. Develop effective organizational structures. Develop human capital: emphasize performance management, associate development and promotability, and succession planning. Develop and deploy performance metrics as appropriate. Support deployment of supply chain best practices to other parts of Kohler Co.

Skills/Requirements

Vast experience as a supply chain leader combining end-to-end supply chain experience, business acumen, the ability to bring together manufacturing, integrated business planning, sales & operations planning, warehouse & distribution management, logistics and customer service. Plant leadership and/or warehouse management experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods business required. 3PL experience and warehouse design experience preferred.

  1. Extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process.

  2. Familiar with all aspects of Customer Service and Order to Cash processes including Order Management, Fulfillment and Warranty management.

  3. Knowledge and practice of lean manufacturing methodologies, logistics management, domestic and international transportation and the systems’ processes and metrics that support continuous improvements.

  4. Excellent analytical skills and solid business acumen. Experience managing Operating P&L (i.e., Net Sales to Direct Operating Margin).

  5. A history of building, developing, and leading high-performance teams. One who can bring cohesion, focus, and confidence to a group of operations’ executives. A demonstrated ability and track record of growing an organization’s diversity and intellectual capability.

  6. Knowledgeable in SAP and JDA software, six sigma processes and breakthrough order fulfillment systems.

  7. Exceptional communications skills with the ability to effectively present to the outside world, employees, customers, suppliers and other business partners with poise, integrity, and an engaging speaking style.

  8. Proven managerial skills, proactive in attacking challenges and ability to be confident in setting and achieving stretch goals through leading and motivating others.

  9. Ability to be a strategic and tactical leader who is comfortable establishing, communicating, and “hands on” implementing the vision and deliverables.
