Sr. Project Analyst, Creative Labs

Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

In this position, the Sr. Project Analyst – Creative Labs will deliver innovative consumer products as part of a highly collaborative and creative team. This position will leverage knowledge of technology, design, fabrication, validation and manufacturing to drive new innovations from initial concept to working prototype.

  • Leverages creative problem solving to design innovative, cost effective, and functional and innovative products that delight customers and represent the Kohler brand.

  • Brings a positive approach and collaborates with cross functional teams including marketing, program management, industrial design, and manufacturing operations to deliver products on time, within budget.

  • Has a passion for innovation and consistently searches for opportunities to create transformative products.

  • Provide project management and scheduling support as required to drive project execution deadlines

  • Utilizes a broad range material and manufacturing process knowledge including casting, forging, stamping, injection molding, welding, tube bending, hydroforming, etc.

  • Contributes to and leverages a diverse and global engineering organization.

  • Maintain state-of-the-art awareness of new and emerging technologies

What you will be doing:

Create

  • Partner with Product Marketing and Industrial Design to develop a product specification using consumer research, market data, and sales feedback.

  • Study consumer behaviors and develop product solutions that provide a solution or value to a customer

  • Provide high-level feasibility analysis on initial product concepts

  • Coordinate development timetables

Refine

  • Develop and refine concepts using 3D modeling software (Creo), FEA, and CFD.

  • Leverage our world class on-site prototyping and test lab capabilities to create physical and electronic prototypes to validate product features.

  • Validate product value through consumer and/or human experience research.

Implement

  • Optimize design using DfM (Design for Manufacturing) principles to ensure dependable, stable, and efficient mass production.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance through careful product verification test planning.

  • Support manufacturing ramp up by providing on-site feedback during pre-production builds.

  • Assist in preparation of standard cost estimates for new technologies

  • Develop and maintain innovation implementation playbooks for handoff to NPD teams

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (preferably in an engineering related field).

  • Minimum of 6 years of product development experience.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of CAD modeling (Creo preferred).

  • Hands on fabrication and prototyping skills.

  • Tolerant of ambiguity and drives to clarity by bringing order and structure to work.

  • International and domestic travel as needed.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $73,400 - $92,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
