Media Asset Specialist

Work Mode: Hybrid

Opportunity

Kohler Co., a multifaceted global family of brands valuing design, wellbeing, and responsibility, is seeking a Media Asset Specialist to join our Brand team. This role will primarily focus on supporting the creative and production team by managing deliveries, cataloging projects, tagging keywords, rights management, and storage of digital assets with a focus on video.

The Media Asset Specialist will work closely with the post-production producer, editors, other studio-team members, and business partners to efficiently fulfill project-related deliverables. Reporting to Collections and Communications Libraries Specialist, this individual contributor’s strong technical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit will bring operational excellence to the time-based content supply chain. Specific Responsibilities

  • Establish Kohler’s media asset management system in collaboration with a team of digital asset managers and video production teams.

  • Perform essential asset-management tasks such as cataloguing, data management, tagging, managing deliveries, and archiving of projects in collaboration with production team.

  • Develop and maintain an efficient media asset management system that meets the organization's needs.

  • Oversee digital and physical media accessions, including housing, organization, rights management, and off-site storage coordination.

  • Monitor health and capacity of asset management system and actively manage production storage usage.

  • Ingest, transcode, sync, organize projects, create files for transcription and subtitling.

  • Prepare review outputs and links for client and creative stakeholders.

  • Unarchive footage from cloud storage, as needed.

  • Source stock footage, music, SFX, etc. for editors and producers as requested.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in media and communications or a related field is preferred.

  • 2-5 years of experience in an audio/video post-production environment.

  • Familiarity with media asset management (MAM) tools like Iconik (preferred) or CatDV.

  • Basic understanding of storage administration (localized storage vs cloud-based storage).Advanced knowledge / experience a plus.

  • Experience working with footage from various camera formats.

  • Understanding of rights management tools. Experience with Fadel Rights Cloud a plus.

  • Experience with Lucidlink and CloudSoda a plus.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.After Affects a plus.

  • Experience with Avid Media Composer and Davinci Resolve a plus.

  • Exceptional technical abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to appropriately prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively.

  • Creative and critical thinking skills to develop innovative solutions to media asset management challenges.

  • Analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of media asset management processes and make data-driven decisions for improvement.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team, with ownership over some independent tasks.

The salary range for this position is $63,100 - $79,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
