This role is responsible for managing a team of project management professionals to plan and manage the execution of an IT portfolio made up of projects (waterfall) and product teams (agile). Key success factors for the role include building a strong, diverse team, developing talent, knowledge and practical application of project methodologies, establishes clear outcomes for success and positively impacts the engagement of the team and stakeholders.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Directly hires, contracts and manages Project Managers and Scrum Masters, while understanding and championing team objectives and key results.

  • Builds high-performing teams through mentorship, communication of job expectations, planning and monitoring, driving growth and skill development.

  • Engagement with IT peers and management on expectations and prioritization.

  • Works with the IT Center of Delivery Excellence (COE) to follow standards, influence best practices and ensure team members are fully trained.

  • Ensures best delivery practices, processes and procedures that drive speedy and quality outcomes.

  • Collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure we are delivering value and providing high levels of internal customer service.

  • Owns and shares financial, key metrics and roadmaps for respective areas in IT to drive central view.

  • Project Managers lead smaller to complex, multi-functional projects, often global, and handle more than one significant project at a time. Scrum Masters manage 1-3 product teams depending upon scope and complexity. Activation of Agile and Waterfall Processes to enable timely delivery of capabilities.

  • Organization of the work, timing and resource planning across teams, coordination of cross-team dependencies, and other teams such as core, platform, etc. (i.e., Scrum of Scrums)

  • Drives demand planning activities within the assigned IT organization using our IT planning tools (Service Now, Jira, ACTs, Planview).

  • Prepares project status material and capable of presenting to executive management.

  • Supports RFP/RFQ activities, including vendor meetings, scorecard creation, security reviews, and other mandated activities.

  • Coordinates and communicates reporting of respective pillar to drive to overall Digital Experience KPI’s and metrics.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 12+ Years’ relevant experience in managing Project Managers and/or Scrum Masters

  • Project Management certification a plus

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Leadership skills

  • Travel up to 15% as needed

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $129,150 - $165,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
