Opportunity
This position is a part of the Insurance & Risk Management department, under the direction of the Claims Manager. The Insurance and Risk Management department is part of our Treasury group, a division of the Corporate Finance team. The Adjuster will focus their contribution on the management of product, general and auto liability property damage claims.
Specific Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, and handle to conclusion product liability claims, including but not limited to direct communication with claimants, insurance companies and attorneys (both internal and external); investigation of claims including communication with customer service and engineering; review and reconciliation of claimed damages; and claim resolution.
Exercises proper judgment and decision making to properly analyze course of action for appropriate resolution
Assists in maintaining computerized claim database data entry to confirm accurate and consistent input of information.
Other duties as assigned.

This position requires knowledge of product liability claims and legal concepts. The Claims Adjuster must be results oriented, skilled in effective negotiation techniques, possess an understanding of property damage assessment, and capable of independently handling liability claim files. The Claims Adjuster must have excellent communication skills to express ideas and make effective presentations orally and in written fashion.
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management or related field preferred
Minimum of three to five years of experience as a claims adjuster for insurance company, or third-party administrator preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft utilities, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.

The salary range for this position is $62,350 - $77,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
